Damp morning, and the sparking would not stop once the flame had lit. Moisture had got under the ignition switch. He dried and replaced it, then sealed the gap at the counter cutout where the water was getting in.

A grate had started rocking, and it turned out the burner base was sitting proud of the surface. Two mounting clips had snapped. He replaced them, levelled everything, and the grates sit flat again.
